The chief executive officer of All Points Logistics, LLC, Phil Monkress handles strategic planning for a Florida company with more than 200 employees that receives federal contracts. Outside of work, Phil Monkress follows the University of Oklahoma’s football team, the Sooners.
In existence for 119 years, the University of Oklahoma football program ranks among the charter members of the Big 12 Conference. Winner of seven national titles since 1950, the team has produced five Heisman Trophy winners and more than 150 First-Team All-Americans. Moreover, many National Football League champions received their start at this school, including Pro Football Hall of Famers Tommy McDonald and Lee Roy Selmon.
Under the leadership of head coach Bob Stoops, the Sooners completed a winning regular season in 2013. Finishing with a record of 10-2 (7-2 in Big 12 competitions), it garnered a spot in the following year’s Sugar Bowl. Furthermore, the team topped the Big 12 in several statistics: It ranked first in passing and total defense and had the longest time of possession with nearly 389 minutes. Additionally, player Mike Hunnicutt led the Big 12 Conference in field goals.
